Via ferrata Sølvskatten in Bodø: higher, steeper, harder
Of our two via ferrata routes, Sølvskatten is the tougher one. The climbing is steeper and more exposed, with a short overhang above the Norwegian Sea along the way.
This route is meant for people who have done a via ferrata before and want more. You get more height, steeper sections, more physical climbing and a short overhang. Compared with Vikingveggen it is a clear step up. It is still a guided via ferrata, though, not a climbing route for experts.
What sets this route apart
Harder climbing
You climb higher, steeper and with more effort. The short overhang makes for an exciting finish.
A view you have to earn
The view from Sølvskatten is even more dramatic than from Vikingveggen. The moment on top, just after the overhang, stays with you.
If Vikingveggen no longer challenges you
A tougher guided via ferrata on the Nordland coast, with more height and more climbing than on Vikingveggen.
