During this five-day journey, we’ll introduce you to the Lapland we call home. No large groups or rushed excursions: just a small-scale, personal experience where you’ll come closer to Sámi culture than anywhere else.

What you’ll experience

1. Meet our reindeer

You will meet Jon-Anders, Sámi reindeer herder and co-founder of Go To Sápmi. Together with him, you will visit our reindeer grazing lands near Luleå.

He will share stories about the role of reindeer in Sámi culture, about ancient traditions, and about a way of life that still follows the rhythm of the seasons.

2. Northern Lights & Photography

Together with Anna, you’’l head out into the night to search for the Northern Lights. We will teach you not only where to look, but also how to capture it.

If the aurora doesn’t show itself, we’ll still teach you the basics of night photography so you might be ready to photograph it the next day during your trip!

3. Nordic Winter Skills

Closeness to nature is part of our everyday life and today we will spend some time together and talk about the forest, the frozen sea and the nature that surrounds us. We will give you some tips on how to live and survive in the Arctic region. We will also look for tracks and signs from the diversity of wild animals that live in the area.

4. Dogsledding

On this day we drive to our local husky kennel. Here you and your friend drive your own dog sled!

5. Snowmobile tour (full day)

Waking up to a new day by the frozen sea! After enjoying breakfast, we prepare for our four-hour archipelago nature adventure that includes lunch. We use snowmobiles to explore the frozen sea and islands of the archipelago. Out on the islands, we look for wildlife and pack ice formations.

Brändön Lodge

This is where you’ll sleep.

During your stay, Brändön Lodge will be your home in the Arctic. Located on a private peninsula in northern Sweden, the lodge offers a peaceful setting surrounded by forests, frozen sea and open skies.

You’ll stay in comfortable cabins close to nature, with the main lodge as a warm meeting place for meals and evenings together. From Brändön Lodge, all activities start: including husky and snowmobile tours and memorable Northern Lights experiences. It’s the perfect base to relax, recharge and explore the Arctic during your 5-day adventure!

Additional activities

In addition to the activities included in the package, it’s possible to add extra experiences to your stay. These activities can also be swapped with activities already included in the package, allowing you to personalise your trip. Please note that changing or adding activities may affect the total price of the original package.

IceBreaker

€490,- per person

Step aboard a powerful icebreaker and cruise through the frozen sea, where massive sheets of ice crack and part beneath the ship. During this experience, you’ll be provided with a special thermal survival suit, allowing you to safely float and swim in the icy water.
Ice bath

€135,- per person

A refreshing dip in an ice hole in the frozen sea, followed by pure relaxation in a warm sauna. A special winter experience that awakens body and mind, with views of the serene silence of the winter landscape.
Ice fishing (2 hour)

€150,- per person
A 2-hour guided ice fishing tour that introduces you to a local Arctic tradition. Travel by snowmobile sled to a prime fishing spot on the frozen sea, learn about ice conditions and Arctic life, drill your own fishing holes, and try your luck catching perch or pike. Warm up with a hot drink along the way.
Nordic Skiing (2 hour)

€150,- per person
Discover the winter surroundings of Brändön Lodge on a guided cross-country skiing tour. Together with a guide, you will learn the basics and head out across the frozen sea or through the quiet forest. Along the way, we take time for a warm drink and to enjoy the silence of Lapland.
