The Northern Lights are natural and unpredictable. If they don’t appear, you’ll still learn night photography, practice techniques, hear Sámi stories, and enjoy an evening outdoors with fire and warm drinks.

No. You can join with a DSLR, mirrorless or just your smartphone. I’ll show you the best settings for your device so you can capture the aurora.

Yes. Modern smartphones are capable of capturing the aurora with the right settings. During the tour I’ll guide you step by step to get sharp and colourful images.

The Northern Lights season in Swedish Lapland runs from September to March. The darkest months, November to February, offer the highest chances for clear night skies.

Expect Arctic winter temperatures between –5°C and –25°C. Dress in warm layers: thermal base, insulated jacket, gloves, hat, scarf and winter boots. I’ll provide fire and hot drinks to help you stay comfortable.

The photography workshop lasts about 3 hours, including time for instructions, photographing, and breaks by the fire.

Pickup is included from Brändön Lodge or central Luleå. Details will be confirmed after booking.

Absolutely. You don’t need photography experience. This tour is designed for complete beginners as well as hobby photographers who want to improve.
